  • Uma Krishnaswami is from India, and now lives in northwest New Mexico. She's the author of picture books (Monsoon, a Parents' Choice recommended book, and The Happiest Tree, a CCBC Choice, and many others) and a middle grade novel, Naming Maya (an IRA Notable Book for a Global Society).   • Rhea Kumar is a Class XII student of Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, New Delhi.  Rhea is an avid reader from her childhood days and is now a passionate writer as well. Rhea has been a prize winner three times in the Scholastic Writing Awards and her entries have been published in the ‘For Kids by Kids’ series in 2007, 2009 and 2011. Music is her second love: she is a trained Classical Hindustani vocalist and also plays the guitar. Born to Die is her first book. The unpublished manuscript was nominated for the National Debut Youth Fiction Award by the National Book Trust in February 2013. Rhea hopes to make a career in journalism someday.

  • Shamya Dasgupta has been a sports journalist for over a decade and is currently Senior Editor with Wisden India. He has been a member of the nomination panel for the 2013 and 2014 Laureus World Sports Awards and a member of the Worldwide Panel of Experts for the 2012 London Olympics with The Guardian. Bhiwani Junction, his book on Indian boxing, was published by HarperCollins India in 2012. Shamya lives in Bangalore with Ajitha, his wife, and Lio, their ‘dogson’.

  • Shamim Padamsee is an author, educationist, lover of life and nature. She loves writing about different aspects of India- its flora and fauna, arts and crafts and its rich cultural heritage. She runs a website called Young India Books that reviews India-centric books for children. Her motto is Read India. Love India.

  • Ruskin Bond's first novel, The Room on the Roof, won the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize. He has published over thirty five novels and several collections of short stories. He has received the Sahitya Akademi Award and the Padma Shri.

  • Andy Cope describes himself as a "professional trainer, qualified teacher, author and learning junkie". He is currently doing a Doctorate at the University of Loughborough... investigating the science of happiness and positivity. He is the best-selling author of the children’s ‘Spy Dog’ and 'Spy Pups' series (aimed at age seven plus).

  • Arundhati Venkatesh has always been making up stories. Now she puts them down on paper. She believes fantasy and reality are different ways of looking at the same thing. Books, riddles, magic and murukku are a few of her favourite things. When she is not cooking up stories or dreaming of food, she haunts bookstores and libraries in Bangalore.
    Her books, Junior Kumbhakarna, Petu Pumpkin: Tiffin Thief and Petu Pumpkin: Tooth Troubles were published in 2014.
